Go Fly a Kite....Definition...

"something that you say in order to tell someone who is annoying you to go away"....

How many of you wake up on the "wrong side of the bed" and everyone that begins to cross your path seems to irritate or annoy you...I think we can all relate to that. I would like to offer a suggestion on how to stop that process before it ever begins. There is a mantra that I recite to myself every morning before I even step out of bed, it goes like this...

For today I shall not get angry

For today I shall do my work honestly and diligently

For today I shall be grateful

For today I shall be kind to all people and creatures

Somehow this creates peace within me and every encounter I have after I step out of bed becomes a pleasant one. If there is a moment in the day that creates annoyance or anguish, my brain triggers the promises I made to myself that morning and I am more compelled to live by the promises I made. This is part of Reiki, a powerful vehicle that provides the tools to be a more calm, peaceful, aware and grateful person, we could all use some of that. So maybe instead of feeling like you want to tell someone to "Go fly a kite." you may want to go with them to actually fly the kite and hopefully be able to diffuse a difficult, uncomfortable situation. There are of course certain times when even though we try to be gracious all the Reiki in the world may fail us, that is when we have to dig deeper and just smile. Give it a try, I have many tools to help you succeed, check out my website or come for a free consultation, you will be happy you did!!!

Thanks for this! I struggle with this daily and too quickly lose my patience.
